Begining... Middle... End...

In the movie "4 Minute Mile" has an amazing ending. A high schooler that has been triaing really hard achevies what he has been working towards. Breaking the 4 minute mile. He doesn't break it in a track meet, where he was supposibaly gonna break it. He broke it by the beach

Superior Postition

A great example of superior position is from the TV show Tom & Jerry. There are lots of superior postion going on in this comedy tv shows. For example, in one of the episodes Jerry finds a type of paint that makes his invisible. Jerry keeps on scarying the hell out of Tom, making him seem like he's being haunted by a ghost. Tom has no idea that the "ghost" is accualty Jerry, making it superior postion because we know that Jerry is the "ghost" but Tom doesn't know that the "ghost" is actually Jerry. An example of superior position from real life, or my life is when it comes down to grades. For example, Mr. Robles, my AP Calculus teacher know's my grade, but i don't. The superior position would be that he know's my grade, while i have no idea what is my grade. cough cough* A.

Conflict

An example of conflict is from the movie "The Call". The Conflict comes when a blond girl gets kidnapped by a crazy person. He steals her, and throws her in the back of the trunck. The shots that they used to make the movie have the audience at the edge of their seats druing the entire movie. The movie has conflict in absolutly every scene. An example of conflict in real life is kinda easy. The average person has conflict every day. I can't imagine how a day would be without conflict. Anyways, and example of conflict would be is when I got injured right before a cross country meet, it was league finals. Yeah, imagine how bad i felt. I guess that would also fall in the catagory of undiserved misfortune.

Undeserved Misfortune

An example of undererved misforutne is from the movie "Holes". The main charater is walking under a freeway minding his own buisness. On top of the bridge is a kid running away from the cops. He had stolen some inspenive shoes that were on display. The kid could hear the cops gaining on him, and scared as he was that he was gonna get arrested, he took off his shoes and threw them over the freeway. The main character was walking right under where the kid let his shoes drop and they hit him on the head. The cops later see he has the shoes, and take him to court. They gave him a choice to go to jail for some time or to go to a camp. He did not at all diserve to go to the camp, but thats where he meet his friend. I have had some undiserved misfortune my self. When I was in cross country last year, my 10th grade year, i got really injured. I sat out the entire season. I had trained for months, and right before the first race, i got a hip injury by my right hip. I did not diserve to get injured.

My Review on The Elephant Man

The Elephant Man, a 4.8 star movie on my book. The Elephant Man is a very inspiring movie, it mad me realize that I take alot of stuff for granted. You don't really know how good you have it untill you see someone lower than you. And thats exactly what The Elephant Man did, it made me realize how, the mear fact of appearence plays an important role on how society treats you. The movie aslo makes you realize, no matter how bad you have it, there is always someone out there that is willing to help you. The movie changed the way I treat people, how I look at them, how I think about them. It made me a greater person. If a movie has that kind of power, that kind of will to change the way you act, the way you look at life, to look at it not as if the glass was half empty, but that the glass is half full, then you really understood the movie.

My name is John Merik

I am very glad that Dr. Frederick Treves is helping me out at the hospital. They even let me stay, this is my home. I am very happy to have a home, I've never had a home, people finally care about me. They gave me a dressing case, and I love pretending that I'm part of society, that people treat me like everyone else is treated. I am very happy that I'm not with Mr. Bytes anymore. That guy is crazy and treats me like an animal. I wish I could have been like my mother, with the face of an angel. I hope for the day that I can walk around society, without being stared at, being watched at. Being told to "Stand up, stand up! and Turn Around Turn Around!"

Welcome to my Nightmare Wahhahahahaha

My Greatest fear is that I won't have a good future. I often wonder, what if I mess up during school, I don't pass a class. Which would not allow me to go to college. I really wanna go to collage, to learn, inorder to be successful in life. But what if I don't mess up in high school, what if I'm already in college , but I mess up there. In college. What if the classes are to hard for me to handle, what if I can't pass the class. All the stress pilling up on me, like in high school, only a hundered times worse. If I don't get thought high school I won't be successful. I'm very scared and nervous about what the future has in hold for me. I wanna travel the world, enjoy life, but without getting through high school, college, the fear inside of me continuse to torment me with growing pain. I often get nightmares, when i'm off track and have to do summer homework. The feeling I have of not haven completed the homework assignment is emense! It's as if someone took a giant peace from your chest, and you feel incomplete. I fear the day when I have to prove myself worthy.

Blog #6 Compassionate Science

Wanting to change the world, making a difference, helping each other out. Not all of us have the drive that keep's us going, some are boor and sit on the couch all day. But others find a way to make a difference, to go down in history, to be remembered. I wanna be one of those persons. Traveling all over the world, helping the need, fixing the probelms, and making the world a better place. science can do all of that, it has made us smarter, has made us better, and is helping the world without us noticing. The weather you watch on TV, wouldn't have been done without the use of technology. Keeping in touch with family members, and friends that are all over the world, all at the touch of your finger tips. Technology has grown so much, and it isn't stopping. We are the new generation, and it's time for us to do our part in making technology, help humanity.

The Future

Predicting the future is an interesting thing. We have already come so far in technology, but what else haven't we invented. What is left for us to event? The future as i predict it is with complex, yet simple to use technology. Buildings that change shapes depending on the situation it has to over come, levatating devieces that float in mid air, a chip that you insert into your brian so that automatically you know knoweledge, and you don't have to go to school. Imagine, school would be a thing of the past, all you have to do is buy a chip and inserted in your brain, or your arm, and your brain get's filled with knowledge! We would have already invented a cure for every single disease know to human history. And incase you do get sick, you just get in a tube that wipes the disease right out in seconds! Getting sick would be a thing of the past! Life in Earth will be like this in about 1,000 years in the future, but not all of use would live on planet Earth. Earth will just be another place to live at, just like some of us live in the United States Of America and other's in the island's of Hawaii. There will be other planet's to live on! Some that are 3 time's the size of Earth, other's that are a fraction of the size of Earth. We'll be able to travel to other planet's, by then we would have solved the question, the famous question "Is their   life in the Universe?" And the answer would have been yes! Becasue by then we would have made contact with them, but instead of going to war with them like the Eurpeans did to the Natives, we would already been smart enought to make peace. And work together. We won't fear aliean's in the future, they'll help us advance in technology!

One Time I laughed Really Really Really Hard

There was this one time when I laughed really hard. I was in cross country one day during 6th period. we were about to go out for a distance run and one of my friends, Adrian decided to go and show off. He walked over to the the fence, where we have to excite, and started climbing it. Then he started to do flips on it. The first time he did it fine. He completed a full circle, but on the second time he was doing it he fell, flat on his face, and at first my friends and i were in complete shock. We weren't sure if he was ok, so we ran over there to see if he was ok. When he got up he was ok, and all of my friends and I started to laugh really hard. Everyone turned around to see what was going on. Later in that some year, at Bancuet, where we get our awards from Track & Field, they were giving out awards. And one of the awards was awarded to my friend Adrian, and they told the story of him and how he fell down. The whole team started laughing, and they gave him the most likely to become spiderman award.

Charlie Chaplin Modern Times

Charlie Chaplin from "Modern Times" is an amazing movie produced back in 1936.What I like about the movie is the way Charlie Chaplin demonstrates how the people lived back then in the past. What I like about this is that he makes something bad seem funny. With his amazing acting, he can make the crowed from the past laugh at the unpleasent world they lived in. The way he show's the world is shocking because we live in a very different place know. Another thing that I liked was how he showed that the factories, were destroying their lives. They were eating them up and spitting them out leaving them usless and crazy. One of my most favorite parts that happened was when the movie end's, Charlie Chaplin tell's the crowed to smile.

My Thoughts on Bullying

Bullying, seem mostly in school's, playgrounds, and even the internet. Bully's can be the huge guy puncking the smaller kid, but now the smaller kids can be the bully too. Me personally have not been bullyed, nor i been the bully, but i have seen some one get bullyed. And when I saw that it scared the hell out of me, I've seen lots of TV adds talk about what to do when you see someone get bullyed, but when I finally saw someone get bullyed, I felt hopeless in what to do to help him. Yes they tell you the typical stuff, to go up to them, and walk away calmly. But it is so much easier to say it, than to actually do in in real life. Bullying is a long term effect on both the person beiging bullied, and the person bullying.

My Favorite Movie

From all the movies I have seen, there is one in particular that stands out from the rest, and that movie is "The Karate Kid”. This movie stands out from the rest because it of how the movie was made. It wasn't fictional, where giant robots fight, and yes, I like "Transformer", but you know it couldn't actually happen in real life.” The Karate Kid" is an amazing movie, it makes you have feelings for the actor, not that any other movie doesn't do that but "The Karate Kid" took it to a whole other level. What I also like about the movie am that it is shot on one of the oldest, yet fascinating places here on Earth, and that place is China. There is even a scene where he is training in China. The perspective of the movie is what fascinates me, making friends with your enemy, and survival of the fittest.
